Meetings
Memberships are fully refundable for 30 days and are prorated after that, i.e. if someone has been a member for six months and then chooses to leave the group, they are entitled to a 50% refund.
ABN requires that a member attend meetings on a regular basis or if not able to attend send a substitute. Substitutes should not be from an industry that is represented by the group, i.e. if the group has a Dentist, the substitute should not be a Dentist. A member is allowed one unexcused absence per quater. If the member exceeds that number, they will be asked to leave the group and a pro rated refund will be provided. Most chapters also have designated substitutes available.
It is ABN's policy to allow one member per primary industry category. When a group extends beyond 15 - 10, it is sometimes advisable to "split" industries. For example, if the group has a Doctor, it may be permissible and advisable to have an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist along with a General Practitioner and/or a Surgeon
